Rules for renting and terminating leases for premises in Neo

If you wish to rent a laboratory or office in Neo, the following rules apply:

  • A nine-month notice period applies to department-specific premises.
     
  • The next month-end is the cut-off point for termination.
     
  • Premises can be rented on a short-term basis for a minimum of 3 months. If the rental is extended and exceeds 9 months, it is considered a long-term rental with a 9-month notice period.
     
  • Department-specific premises cannot be partially terminated, only in their entirety.
     
  • Offices/office spaces can be rented and terminated as follows (a notice period of 9 months applies for all three options):
    • full office (office for 1-2 people)
    • half office (office for 4-10 people)
    • 1/4 office (office for 4-10 people)
       
  • Standard labs can be rented and terminated as follows (a notice period of 9 months applies to all three options):
    • full lab
    • half lab
    • 1/4 lab
       
  • All hirings and dismissals must be approved by the relevant manager/department head.
     
  • All hirings and dismissals must be sent in writing to the manager.

Administrative routine

  1. The form is completed by the party concerned and sent to the manager for review.
  2. The Neo manager provides information about termination/rental (e.g. premises, date, etc.).
  3. The party concerned forwards the form to the head of department/administrative manager or to the person with decision-making authority for electronic signing.
  4. The relevant financial manager where the termination/rental takes place is responsible for:
    1. informing the manager that the agreement has been signed and also
    2. communicating that the original is available in the team channel ‘Neo steering group’ under the folder ‘Rental and termination’.
