Apply for The Swedish Brain Foundation´s Postdoctoral Grant
Apply for the Swedish Brain Foundation's grant for postdoctoral positions in 2025 for researchers who have recently completed their doctoral studies in neuroscience.
The application system is open between 23 June and 31 August 2025. NB! The application must be signed by the head of department before it is submitted by the applicant to the Swedish Brain Foundation.

Sign up for our Research school for clinicians in psychiatry
For the first time, we offer our very own Research school for clinicians in psychiatry with doctoral courses lasting 4 x 4 weeks at the Centre for Psychiatry Research. The course starts on September 29, 2025.
The entire training program is adapted for psychiatry and we have developed several exciting new courses. To be eligible to apply, you must be a registered doctoral student at Karolinska Institutet no later than three weeks before the start of the course and have an employment and clinical position within Region Stockholm or another healthcare provider that has an agreement with the region.
Applications must be submitted to Prisma no later than Monday 24 March at 14.00.

Call for interest for a collaborative Stockholm trio-UCL workshop in London
The workshop, in London April 8-9, has four focus interdisciplinary topics; Space, Planetary Health & Food Security, Young People & Mental Health and Cities in Crisis. The aim is to bring researchers from the four universities to discuss challenges and innovative solutions to build multidisciplinary collaborative networks between London and Stockholm.
Submit your interest by February 14.

Apply for Clinicum Solna´s methods mentorship program
As a doctoral student, you will be paired with a senior methodology expert with specialist knowledge in statistical and epidemiological methods needed for the planned research. The methodology expert will be a discussion partner and regular support in the research process, preferably regarding the methodological aspects of the project.
The application period is open until 15 January 2025. The program starts in February and runs throughout the year.
To benefit from the program, it is assumed that you have basic knowledge and skills in data management in some statistical software.

KI Culture day 2024: Perception in focus: arts, science and human experience
The KI Culture Day is the annual celebration of the fertile link between medical science and culture. It is a unique combination offering popular science and cultural entertainment, including talents studying/working at KI, science at KI, as well as invited guests. The venue is the Medical Students’ Union (MF).

Visit the dentist while at work
As of 1 April, KI staff may visit the university’s general dentistry clinic during their working day, provided they have the permission of their department (or the equivalent) and their immediate manager. This staff perk will be trialled for a year.

The role of purchasing coordinator becomes centralized
Purchasing and procurement, a sub-project within the project Harmonised professional services, has come to coordinate and centralize the purchasing coordinator organisation. Six to seven full-time positions within the organisation are being reorganized and will now be incorporated in the Central Administration.
