Current deadlines related to doctoral courses and activities
Here you will find some key dates to be aware of when arranging doctoral courses and other doctoral education activities.
Please note that from January 2024, we are using a new system for courses: Fubas.
The Fubas landing page provides information about the system, workflows and user guides, as well as a login to the system.
Course syllabus
30 August 2024 - deadline for submitting (for review) a new or revised syllabus in our new system Fubas for a course that will be advertised in the course catalogue for the spring semester of 2025.
24 October 2024 - deadline for submitting (for review) a new or revised syllabus in Fubas for courses that are planned within the research schools, with a start date during the spring semester of 2025.
Course information & course occasion
20 September 2024 - deadline for entering a course information and a course occasion in Fubas for advertising in the course catalogue for the spring semester of 2025. If a course information already exists, we will use that (let us know if you need to update the content).
For the research schools, 14 November 2024 is the deadline for reporting planned course occasions with start date during spring semester of 2025, according to instructions.
Funding of freestanding courses
30 August 2024 is the deadline for applying for funding from KPK for the spring semester of 202. We prefer that you also apply for the autumn semester 2025 in the same application, if your course is also planned for the autumn. It is also possible to apply now for a course that will only be given in the autumn semester.
Note! This type of application only refers to courses that are not part of a doctoral programme or are to be wholly financed in another way, see Applying for funding of freestanding courses.
Funding for additional costs for courses within international collaborations
30 August 2024 is the deadline for applying for so-called additional funding from KPK for the spring semester 2025. For information on which courses can apply for this, see funding for additional costs for KI courses in international collaborations.
Funding of courses within doctoral programmes
Contact a doctoral programme (or several) well in advance to apply for having the course included in the programme.
Course catalogue and application period
The course catalogue is open annually for application during three weeks, approximately 15 April - 5 May (for autumn semester) and 15 October - 5 November (for spring semester) - subject to a different start/end date depending upon the day of the week.
The course catalogue for the spring semester of 2025 will be open for application during the period 15 October to 5 November, 2024.
Funding of doctoral education activities
