ISP - Individual Study Plan
The ISP is a tool for doctoral education, written by the doctoral student together with their main supervisor.
The ISP must be submitted within 1 month and established within 3 months after admission, and updated annually irrespective of study rate.

The current ISP system will be replaced by the ISP module in Ladok, the national study administrative system, during 2026.
More information can be found on our webpage for the ISP Ladok Project. Please note that only your latest established ISP will be moved to Ladok. If you have a study plan in any other stage of completion, it will not be moved.
Instruction for main supervisors when your doctoral student has changed research subjects.
UKÄ (Swedish Higher Education Authority) has decided to create a new division of the research subjects used for reporting doctoral education. Please go to this webpage for instructions on how to handle this in the ISP system the next time your doctoral student is up for yearly follow-up or half-time review.
