KI Safety Committee (formerly the Work Environment Committee)

The Safety Committee is a consultative body and, according to the Work Environment Act (AML) Chapter 6, Sections 8-9, shall participate in the planning and implementation of work environment activities. The committee shall closely monitor developments in matters concerning protection against ill health and accidents and work towards satisfactory working environment conditions. Dnr 285/09-204.

The Safety Committee shall, among other things, address issues concerning:

  • Occupational health and student health
  • Action plans according to Chapter 3, Section 2a
  • Planning of new or modified premises, equipment, work processes, working methods, and work organisation
  • Planning and use of substances that may cause ill health or accidents
  • Information and training regarding the work environment for employees and students
  • Work adaptation at the workplace/study place
