KI's thematic doctoral programmes
Karolinska Institutet's (KI's) thematic doctoral programmes reflect major research areas at KI. The programmes offer a range of courses and other learning activities in their respective research areas for all KI's doctoral students.
KI's doctoral students have the flexibility to select courses from several thematic doctoral programmes for their individual study plan.
KI's doctoral students and postdocs are welcome to contact the programmes to come on their mailing list.

As a doctoral student you can register your interest. Submission of an expression of interest can be done when applying for admission to doctoral education, or at any time during the education.
About doctoral programmes
The doctoral programmes want to ensure a prime research training environment. Participating in activities is a way for doctoral students to build a network in their research field that extends beyond their own research group and department.

Doctoral education is to a large extent based on the individual research project of each doctoral student. The doctoral programmes are thematic and once admitted to a doctoral education at KI, the doctoral student can sign up to one or several of KI’s doctoral programmes.
