This is an overview of the operational plan for the Professional Services at KI (formerly the Central Administration) 2024.
Remit and responsibilities
The general remit of Professional Services (PS) is to support the university’s core activities of research, education and outreach and its governance via the president and other management offices. Professional Services shall:
- ensure that the university fulfils its official mission and complies with all relevant rules, laws and ordinances.
- be effective and operate from the needs of the university’s core activities and managerial functions.
- proactively judge such needs and actively participate in the identification of challenges and the devising of common solutions.
- operate in the spirit of professionalism, dedication and positivity.
- pursue the same objective throughout KI. Close collaboration with the departments’ local professional services is therefore particularly important.
- Support KI's continued development in identified strategic focus areas.
- Support the ongoing integration of BioNut with MedH.
- Review of the Professional Services' working methods, organisation and use of premises.
- Develop operational planning and follow-up throughout KI.
- Create a structure for operational development and digitisation.
- Strengthen and coordinate security efforts at KI.
- Ensure progress in the implementation of coordinated IT.
