This is the operational plan for the Education Support Office 2025.
Remit and responsibilities
The department is responsible for supporting KI's students, management and governing bodies in matters relating to education at all levels of education. The department is also responsible for admissions, the issuing of diplomas, student health care, educational communication, examination services and provides support to the departments in matters relating to education law, study environment and contract education.
Responsibilities also include the development and support of educational administrative processes and systems. The Education Office for the Medicine and Biomedicine programmes is located in the Division. The Head of Division also has specific coordination responsibility for the activities of the Unit for Teaching and Learning (UoL).
- Establish the new department.
- Coordinate external quality evaluation of KI's doctoral programmes.
- With the support of KIB, develop an updated version of the Student Journey, with the aim of mapping the support and information needs of different student groups: from application to KI, to graduation. The Student Journey will provide support for measures to broaden recruitment and participation.
- Develop an action plan linked to the strategy for recruitment to undergraduate and graduate programmes.
- Review the credit transfer process and increase digital support for it.
- Digitise the process for applying for special educational support for examinations.
- In student communication, regularly inform and inspire about KI's and the student unions' environmental and sustainability work.
