Updates and news in KI RIMS
Here you can find information about updates, changes and news in KI RIMS that affect and may be of interest to you as a user. You can also find information about updates on ki.se that concern profile pages and research group pages as they are closely linked to KI RIMS.
Updated menu position for navigation in KI RIMS from 21 August
On 21 August, KI RIMS will be updated to version 7. The major change for you as a user is that the menu for navigating the system will be moved and partly changed to improve usability and accessibility. After the update, you will find all headings and navigation on the left when you are logged into the system.
The navigation menu has been repositioned from the top of the screen to a new, persistent left-hand sidebar, aligning with design best practices. The heading bar, and the navigation items included in it, have been consolidated into the sidebar.
The aim of this change is to improve the navigation experience. When you hover your mouse over the icons in the side menu, more levels will appear where you can choose what you want to do. You can also expand the entire menu by clicking on the KI logo at the top left. Below the logo, you will now find a search box to help you find the page you want to go to directly without having to navigate through the menu layers.
Following user input and for clarity, the structure has been partially adjusted and some headings have been renamed.
- Under Profile & Work, you will find, among other things, the entries for updating your profile information, publications, grants and professional activites.
- Reporting Hub, where you can extract various reports, is now located under Search & Reporting.
In connection with the update on 21 August, the instructions on the website will be updated and adapted to the new look.

Do you need to find a docent at KI in a specific subject area? Now you can easily get a list in KI RIMS. The report ‘Docents at KI’, which lists both employed and affiliated docents at KI, can be found in the Reporting hub.
The data in the report ‘Docents at KI’ is taken from Primula and UBW Anknutna.
