The Central HR Office offers courses in work environment, leadership and HR to managers and HR professionals.
Compulsory courses
Systematic Work Environment Management - Module 1
The course aims to provide basic knowledge in systematic work environment management to ensure that delegated work environment tasks maintain a good quality, and where you who have a delegation find sufficient competence to conduct a well-functioning work environment management.
Organisational and Social Work Environment - Module 2
The course aims to provide basic knowledge in organisational and social aspects of the work environment, especially regarding workload, working hours and victimisation. The course also briefly addresses work environment situations such as conflicts, discrimination and harassment.
Laboratory Safety - Module 3
The course includes a basic review of legislation, procedures, guidelines and tools as well as risk assessment, protective measures and waste management.
Courses for managers
New as manager at KI
To achieve sustainable and effective management you first need to understand of the mission, leadership and organisational conditions. The purpose of this program is to provide you with a secure base to build on in your new role and future management career.
Performance Appraisal (adj. Performance Management Dialogue 1)
This workshop focuses on the first appraisal interview conducted in the first quarter of each year, in which managers and employees discuss future goals, tasks, expectations and development. Through a mixture of theory and practical exercises with actors, the course participants develop their understanding of, and skills in conducting performance appraisal at KI.
Performance Review 2 (Annual Appraisals)
The focus is on increasing knowledge of the salary-setting process and how Employee Interviews 2 (MS2) are conducted at KI in order to increase the skills in conducting a good MS2. The course is aimed at those who have employees who are salary-set in the conversation between manager and employee and those who have employees who are salary-set through negotiations between union and employer.

Upon completing this course, you will knowledgeable of KI's recruitment process, how we recruit within the government and how to best position our employee value proposition. The course is divided into 6 parts, so you can take each part when you have time.
Collaboration
Here you get a short introduction and review of KI's collaboration agreement, why we collaborate, what responsibility managers have and what responsibility employees have, and what to do if the collaboration does not work.
Courses for HR
New to HR (only in Swedish)
The program provides new HR staff and department heads with a basic introduction to everything from the role of employer, recruitment and basic labour law to the work environment, rehabilitation, salary formation and and collaboration.
State labour law (only in Swedish)
An overview of state labour law with a focus on different parts that in selected parts concern the higher education sector. The aim is to give course participants a deeper understanding of the labour law system, which is relatively complex and in some parts lacks legal regulation.
