Courses and workshops
The unit of Teaching and Learning at KI offers a variety of alternatives to learn more about teaching and learning in the context of workplace-based learning. The courses differ in length and have different pedagogical focus'. The courses are created and carried out in cooperation with Region Stockholm, Red Cross University, Sophiahemmet University, Marie Cederschiold University and Karolinska Institutet.
Webb-based course
The webb-based course "Introduction to teaching and learning in the context of workplace based learning" is a basic digital course that takes 1-2 hours to complete.
Workshops
Workshops with a first introduction to a subject are offered on a regular basis, they take 3 hours.

Klin Sim
KlinSim is a course for instructors and supervisors with a focus on knowledge and learning. It is aimed at anyone intending to work as an instructor and with simulation, but also in other forms of skills training and student supervision.
Stepping Stones
Stepping Stones are shorter courses and they follow the same set-up: one course module with theoretical background to the subject- a weeks worth of individual work with an assignment followed by an examination. The courses are offered in a variety of ways to accommodate the target group. The courses are all based in the learning platform Canvas but then they are given in real life (IRL) or digitally (in zoom).

Advanced course in teaching and learning for teachers and supervisors in workplace-based education
This course of 7,5 ECTS aims to enhance the pedagogical competence of teachers and supervisors, and to stimulate a reflective and academic approach to workplace-based learning. The course focuses on student learning, the professional teacher and supervisor, as well as goal-oriented teaching, assessment, and examination during workplace-based learning. It also covers the rules and regulations governing higher education programs in health and medical care.

An advanced course of teaching and learning in higher education, focusing on increasing the competence in the field of pedagogical leadership and ensuring evidence-based pedagogical work, in both healthcare and higher education.
