Hildegun och Mats Guldbrand´s research foundation for research in gynecological cancer
Karolinska Institutet hereby announces research grants for studies in gynecological cancer, funded by Hildegun och Mats Guldbrand´s research foundation.
Purpose
The funding is intended to support research in gynecological cancer.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are researchers with a doctoral degree who are affiliated to Karolinska Institutet, who conduct research within the area described above.
Funding Amount
A maximum of SEK 1,2 million may be granted per applicant per year. You can never receive more than the amount applied for.
Application
The application must include:
The application must include a research description of no more than 4 A4 pages (Arial, font size 12, not exceeding 15,000 characters). The application should be divided into the following sections: abstract "popular executive summary" (maximum half an A4 page, 2000 characters), background, research plan, preliminary data, budget, significance, and references.
Any granted or pending ethical approvals, feasibility, the applicant’s previous experience in the field, and indirect costs must be specified in the budget.
The following attachment must be included:
- A publication list of the 10 most relevant publications for this call, as well as a complete publication list for the past 5 years and the current year.
Applications must be submitted electronically. The application form will be available in KI Prisma during the application period: January 27 at 10:00 – February 17, at 14:00, 2026.
Decision
Funding decisions will be made by the Hildegun och Mats Guldbrand´s research foundation and communicated to all applicants via e-mail around May 2026.
Reporting
After the end of the funding period, you must confirm whether the funds have been used, started to be used, or not used. Reporting must be done no later than 12 months after the funds have been disbursed. If requested by the research foundation, you must also be prepared to give an annual oral popular science presentation of up to 30 minutes.
