Ulla Hamberg Angeby and Lennart Angeby's Foundation

Karolinska Institutet hereby announces research grants for research into Arthritis and Stroke from the Ulla Hamberg Angeby and Lennart Angeby Foundation.

The foundation's purpose is to support research on stroke and within osteoarthritis.

Researchers with a doctoral degree affiliated at Karolinska Institutet, who conduct research within the area described above, are eligible to apply.

Funds will be paid to 4-6 researchers. The amount is dependent on the annual return from the foundation distributed between 75 percent to stroke and 25 percent to osteoarthritis. The disposable amount for 2023 is SEK 9 million.

The application must contain a research description of a maximum of 15,000 characters (approx. 4 A4 pages), an abstract of approx. 1 A4 page, any ethical considerations and a budget.

The following attachments should be enclosed:

1. A list of publications with the 10 most relevant publications for this call and a complete list of publications for the last 5 years and the current year.

The application must be submitted digitally. The form is available in KI Prisma during the application period, October 3 – 17, 2023. The application period opens at 10 am on October 3 and closes 2 pm on October 17.

Decision of grant will be taken by the Committee of Research. All applicants will be notified by e-mail in December.

After the end of the term, you have to login to Prisma and confirm whether you have used the money, or at least have started using the money, or not. If you have not used the money at all during the disposition period, these should be returned to the Foundations and Funds.

Reports are submitted via Prisma about 24 months after the money has been paid, except for travel benefits where reporting takes place approximately one month after the end of the term. You will receive an email notification when it is time to report.
